The Great South West is looking for a Director to support and advise the Board to deliver the agreed Great South West management plan, and create a shared ambition and passion for the economic growth of the Partnership.

The Great South West Partnership is focused on delivering a larger and more productive economy, unlocking the potential of the region’s green and blue economies and driving investment into the region. A key feature of success will be the increased economic prosperity and sustainability of the region’s businesses and communities in towns, cities, and rural and coastal areas.

The Board are looking to interview candidates with extensive demonstrable experience of working with the private sector, government (local and national), across all layers and levels, as well as experience working with universities and other key local institutions. They will have achieved meaningful success with broad skills and experience across economy, environment and place and should demonstrate experience and success in delivery.

The role will centre around the delivery of the Great South West workplan to deliver key milestones; acting as principal advisor to the Board; and strategically leading a shared approach to the challenges and opportunities ahead, providing a clear strategy for collaboration for future growth.

Closing date for applications is Friday 25th August, with final interviews commencing in mid September.
